Congratulations to FZ Forza sponsored player Niall McVeigh who won a bronze medal in the doubles at the Dubai Para International. Niall teamed up with Didan Taresoh from Malaysia to compete for the title. They won their match convincingly against Gagandeep Grewal and Jector Tunque from India and Peru 21-3 21-10 in Group B. This win was enough to put them through to the semi final where they had to play the number 1 seeds Krysten Coombs and Jack Shepherd from England. This proved to be a very tough match and the guys put up a great show but unfortunately lost out 21-14 21-14. Coombs and Shepherd went on to win the Gold. On this occasion the former 2 times World and European Champion McVeigh had to settle for bronze.
Niall looks forward to a busy schedule as he continues his build up to the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. He jets off to Turkey next month to compete in the 4th Turkish Para International.
